The Simpsons’ unique and sophisticated Derringstone Pinot Meunier 2018, heralded as the UK’s first still white wine made from 100% Pinot Meunier, has been crowned with a Gold medal. Whilst the Chalklands Classic Cuvée 2016 was also met with high praise from the esteemed judges, garnering Silver.

This is fantastic news for the Estate as both wines are from their respective first vintages and already the winery is receiving such high acclaim and renown for producing top flight still and sparkling wines.

Over the last month, Simpsons Wine Estate has released three of their 2019 still wines, which are selling exceptionally well: Gravel Castle Chardonnay, Railway Hill Rosé in a limited-edition magnum format and, as of last week, Rabbit Hole Pinot Noir.

The success at the Sommelier Wine Awards 2020 has certainly lifted the Simpsons’ spirits and it comes at a perfect juncture, as the follow up vintage releases of the 2017 Chalklands and 2019 Derringstone are next in line to be launched over the forthcoming weeks.
