A one-way route can be followed found the gardens and all visitors will be handed instructions on how to enjoy the gardens safely while adhering to the government’s social distancing guidelines.

Visitors may also bring their well-behaved dogs into the garden, but they must be kept on a short lead.

At this time of year, the award-winning gardens are full of beautiful spring flowers in the herbaceous borders and throughout the wildflower meadows.

The formal gardens are full of roses and clematis and the vineyard garden has some incredible standard wisterias to admire. The oval window in the topiary hedge in the sundial garden provides a delightful view over the Wealden countryside. Visitors can also enjoy the delightful water features and statues found within the gardens.

A circular woodland walk takes visitors past the magnificent rhododendrons and azaleas. A solar powered renovated icehouse can be found within the shimmering haze of garlic walk.

The gardens will be open every day until further notice.

A circular network of hard paths enables visitors of all ages to enjoy the gardens.

The tearoom will be open from Thursday 14 May and will offer a takeout service to allow visitors to enjoy refreshments in the glory of the gardens.
