2020 is Stephens Fresh Foods 46^th year of trading, and early this year the team also achieved BRC AA certification, the meat and indeed the food industry has faced many challenges over the years, but nothing quite like the current COVID 19 pandemic situation. Like many in our industry almost all of our catering/foodservice and export business disappeared overnight following the Prime Ministers lockdown announcement on Monday 23^RD March 2020, and through the next 42 days to date, we have seen another market born overnight that being B2C direct to the consumer, the team here at Stephens have been so unbelievably committed and we have adapted quickly by opening up a Shop for the Public and trade whilst employing the social distancing rules and the feedback we have received from the customers that have shopped with us has been very heart felt and well received.

We launched a new range of Produced In Kent Sliced Cooked Meats in a 250g Consumer Pack with great success, with a slice count of 5 to 6 slices per pack, barcoded and with extensive shelf life the range offers convenience and quality with a great price, ideal for the independent retailer and wholesaler to serve the end consumer.
